Sex & The City Girls

I wanna show you i can grow up,
might take a while but i'll get there.

We can laugh & sing like we used to
do each others make-up like we love to,
We can dance till four in the morning
drinking cherry fizz like were not meant to,

We can be together
just like we used to,
Pretend were sex and the city,
like we love too.

I wanna hold on to your hand
just in case my eyes close
and i forget to tell you, how much i love you.

Escape

Trainers hitting the concrete. Her breath short and fast.
Her mind is oblivious to the surroundings. There are no thoughts. It's just her and the road.

The worry of her mothers illness, forgotten. The children demanding every ounce of her attention, forgotten. The argument with Simon, forgotten. Nothing clouds her mind. It's as if everything is a distant memory of a strangers life. She allows the burn in her legs to spur her faster. The road welcomes her back, like old times.

She never planned this life. Everything became unexpected as soon as she met Simon.
What if she never had children? What if she never met Simon?
What if she want back.
What if, she was that someone important again. Everyone hanging on to her every word. Feeling the stares of men as she passed on by. Having time for friends.
Always wondering what if.

It's like catching up with an old friend.
